Tweedsmuir Community Carnival will be back!

As we are finally back to having in school events, what better way to end the year than with a big bang!  On Friday June 9th (5-8pm) we will be hosting a community carnival at our school.

VALUED VOLUNTEERS!

Please consider volunteering for the June 9th Tweedsmuir carnival community event. There are all kinds of jobs that need to be filled and no amount of time is too small!

We do not want to downsize the event because of the lack of volunteers, so we are hoping help can be enlisted.

Want to get together with friends or family and support the auction or the craft room duties? There is set up or take down, cash desk or running a treat stand! If you have valid food safe and would like to volunteer please email me. fundraising.tweedspac@gmail.com.

Know a talented balloon artist? Or someone that loves to face paint? Or are you a crafty person? Or want to be a character? I’ve got positions for you too. The positions are endless and you can pick the time slots that work around your needs. We are accepting middle and high-schoolers, parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Lots of positions are still available.

SILENT AUCTION FOR THE CARNIVAL

We have information below about our Silent Auction for the Carnival. If you have anything to donate please send me an email so we can arrange pick up. Or, if you know someone or company that would like to donate please let us know.

All of your support and help does not go unseen. Many may not have the time to be as involved with the school as they’d like. But, the part that you do, do matters just as much. So, thank you to everyone.  Let’s make this a memorable event!

Ecole Lord Tweedsmuir Elementary is planning a carnival for our greater community. The event will be held on the afternoon of June 9th as a way to celebrate our school and neighbourhood. By bringing together the wider community to our school for an evening of games, fun, and connection, we hope to add the livability and joy that the city of New Westminster has to offer.

Our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is currently reaching out to parents and local businesses to help make this event a success. We will be hosting a silent auction during our carnival to help raise funds for our school. PAC funds go towards class items, school field trips, school infrastructure, free school/community events, bursaries, and so much more! For our silent auction, we are currently looking for donations of items such as gift certificates, gift packages, services, merchandise, and more.

In exchange for donations for our carnival, you will receive community exposure and advertising. Your company name, address, contact information, and donation will be added to our silent auction sign that all carnival participants will see and interact with. Your support will also greatly benefit the students of our school!

If you are able to help our school with a donation, we would be happy to connect and pick up directly in person. Please connect with our PAC Chair Krista Macaulay or Fundraising Coordinator Enza Esposito at fundraising.tweedspac@gmail.com
