T-L-T: ANOTHER DYNAMITE SIGNING FOR STORM!
T-L-T: ANOTHER DYNAMITE SIGNING FOR STORM!

Hamilton Training Centre and Tweedsmuir Stadium
New Westminster, BC.
Just three weeks after the record signing of right winger Stephanie Musgrove, The Perfect Storm FC (PSFC) have announced the signing of defender Tu Loan Trieu for the 2025/26 Tweedsmuir Champions League season. Trieu, who most recently captained Cukes of Donnaught FC (CDFC), is PSFC’s second acquisition of the 2025 Fall Transfer Window. Contract details have not yet been released but football insiders suspect the deal is very similar to the one Musgrove signed just weeks ago.
PSFC manager Jopp van Klurgen met with Tu Loan Trieu a couple of times over the summer after her agent made it known that a move away from CDFC was imminent. Van Klurgen had this to say about signing the veteran defender:
“We are always looking to deepen our squad with quality, leadership and fitness. Our squad is aging and the last couple of seasons there’s been a noticeable drop in the fitness level. Players are stumbling back to the bench red in the face, panting, eyes crossed, making bizarre noises I hear my elderly grandparents make…And that’s just after the pre-game warm-up! This lack of fitness leads to mental mistakes which can cost us points and, even worse, injuries. I want my players to be more mentally and physically explosive. Tu Loan will not only be a leader on the field, but she will also push the squad in training when it comes to fitness and endurance. I mean, you have to be pretty hardcore to have run the Boston Marathon twice, right? She’s dynamite, you know, like that AC/DC song: T-N-T…Oy! Oy! Oy! Except she’s T-L-T…It’s pretty close though, ja?”
We asked van Klurgen if there will be any more signings before the close of the Fall Transfer Window. The Big Dutchman simply winked, smiled and said, “Maybe…You’ll have to wait and see.”
On Monday, Trieu was at the Hamilton Training Centre for her physical, then it was off to her contract signing and press conference at Tweedsmuir Stadium. When asked how she felt about inking with The Eighth Avenue Educators, Tu Loan replied:
“I’m really excited to play with Perfect Storm FC! I’ve heard they’re a strong team with a great attitude, and that positive energy is one of the main reasons I signed up. While I’m looking forward to being part of the squad, I have to admit – I’m also a little nervous. Everyone on Perfect Storm FC seems so…well, perfect! But I’m ready to give it my all.”
The Perfect Storm will kick off their 14th campaign in the TCL on Wednesday, November 26 against Levi Moreland’s Six Seven Warriors.
