SANS SURPRISE: STEPHANIE SIGNS WITH STORM!
Hamilton Training Centre and Tweedsmuir Stadium
New Westminster, BC.

In what was probably the worst-kept secret of the transfer window, The Perfect Storm FC (PSFC) have officially signed right winger Stephanie Musgrove to their squad for the 2025/26 Tweedsmuir Champions League season. Musgrove, who was the face of Kordlelvin FC (KFC) for 15 years, is the Perfect Storm’s first acquisition of the 2025 Fall Transfer Window. Contract details have not yet been released but football insiders suspect the deal to be one of the more lucrative in recent years to have lured Musgrove away from KFC to their Hamilton Street rivals.
PSFC manager Jopp van Klurgen met with Stephanie Musgrove and her agent once over the summer. The Big Dutchman beamed when asked about his latest signing:
“It was difficult to lose Rebecca in the off-season, but we are absolutely delighted for her and her family. When we heard Stephanie was interested in joining us, myself, the sporting director, the board, we were one hundred per cent in. Our squad is experienced and talented and we have plenty of leaders, but they’re all very quiet leaders. I felt there was a need to get more passionate, more in your face, more ‘heavy metal’.
Stephanie will provide that heavy metal for us and give us some edge to our game. What’s more, adding another offensive player is never a bad idea. We were quite stingy defensively last season, so I don’t mind if we push forward a little more. Stephanie will give us more attacking options.”
When asked if he expects more signings before the close of the Fall Transfer Window, van Klurgen replied, “We had a very successful season last year, on the pitch and at the gate, and we got good return on the players we sold. Our merchandise has been flying off the shelves globally with new team stores opening in Bangkok, Beijing, Dubai and Chilliwack. The board is in a spending mood and I’m really excited about that. We are targeting several players. We’re not done yet, not even close.”
On Monday, Musgrove was at the Hamilton Training Centre for her physical, then it was off to her contract signing and press conference at Tweedsmuir Stadium. When asked how she felt about putting pen to paper with The Eighth Avenue Educators, Stephanie shared this:
“I am so excited to join the Perfect Storm as team sports is my favourite way to make friends and stay active. I am also excited about having a new way to hang out with students and get better at soccer by trying my best and being like Terry Fox and never giving up!”
The Perfect Storm will kick off their 14th campaign in the TCL in mid-November against Levi Moreland’s Six Seven Warrriors.
