New Administrative Team

Dear Parents/Guardians/Caregivers,

We are so excited to introduce ourselves as the new administrative team at Ecole Lord Tweedsmuir Elementary School.

I’m Stephanie Musgrove, your new Vice Principal. I come to Lord Tweedsmuir from Lord Kelvin, where I taught Kindergarten for 13 years before serving as Vice Principal for the past year and a half. During that time, I also had the opportunity to teach Physical and Health Education (PHE).

Before working at Lord Kelvin, I taught Kindergarten and PHE for 15 years at Hume Park Elementary School. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked for Parks and Rec as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at Canada Games Pool, Hume Park Pool and Kiwanis Pool (now known as Moody Park Pool).

I love this community and am excited to become part of the Lord Tweedsmuir community. I look forward to getting to know the students at Lord Tweedsmuir around the school and in the gym during PHE lessons that I will be teaching every afternoon except Thursdays.

I’m Tu Loan Trieu, your new Principal, and I’m thrilled to be joining this wonderful community. I served as Principal at Connaught Heights Elementary for two years and was the Vice-Principal at Ecole Glenbrook Middle School for 5 years. I also had a short and wonderful 6-month stint as the Vice-Principal at F.W. Howay Elementary School. Prior to becoming an administrator, I was a middle school teacher/teacher librarian for 17 years with  the Coquitlam School District.

Colleagues who have had the opportunity to work alongside me often describe me as an enthusiastic and imaginative collaborator who enjoys bringing people together. Over the past 24 years in education, I’ve had the opportunity to wear many hats—classroom teacher, teacher-librarian, athletic director, literacy department head, professional development chair (as both teacher and administrator), and Vice Principal and Principal. Each of these experiences has deepened my belief in the power of collaboration and lifelong learning. With a deep passion for professional development and a strong commitment to experiential education, I hope to bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to this school community.

Together, we are committed to creating a welcoming, caring, and engaging school environment where every student can thrive. Once the school year begins in September, we hope to meet all of you—whether at drop-off, pick-up, or upcoming school events. Please don’t hesitate to say hello; we’d love to hear from you. Closer to the end of next week, we will be sending a message to all families regarding September Start-Up.

We are truly excited about the year ahead and grateful for the opportunity to serve this community.

With gratitude,

Tu Loan Trieu and Stephanie Musgrove
